You may feel sleepy - But you're in control
Hypnosis is one of those technologies that has been around for a very long time and has been used therapeutically and spiritually in early Indian and Egyptian history. However it wasn’t accepted as medical practice in the United States until 1950, thanks to the remarkable work of Dr Milton Erickson.
Hypnosis can used for anyone who wants to quit smoking or wants to lose weight but more recently it has gained publicity in stage show hypnotism, which is remarkably different to hypnotherapy.
As a trained and registered hypnotherapist, I have seen some amazing results in a lot of people. Hypnosis can be thought of as the father to NLP, and in fact Dr Erickson was quite influential to the founders of NLP, Richard Bandler and John Grinder.
One of the biggest myths about hypnotherapy is that it is brain washing and that the client can be controlled. This is not voodoo - a trance induction is like a heightened state of relaxation and suggestibility - very similar to meditation. You’re aware, you’re in control, you’re just very relaxed and blissful.
In fact, we’re speaking directly to the unconscious mind, where all learning, change and growth happens, and you’re aware of it consciously. Therefore, you just get to have change happen to you at a deeper level, and the results are quick, easy and natural.
What is really interesting is self hypnosis, but I’ll leave that for another day.

Everyone has coaches today. It’s like having a therapist - it’s almost trendy to have a coach!

Good Coaching Is About The Questions, Not The Answers...
Most people who become a coach but do not have adequate training. There are many coaching courses out there that give leadership development and sales training but rarely do they focus on the core coaching skills of powerful questioning and guiding.
Coaching has been around longer than what most people think, in fact the most effective style of coaching dates back to 500BC. I am talking about Socrates and his method of teaching philosophy through questions which allowed his students to validate his philosophic theory, but through their own journey. It is this Socratic conversation that needs to take place in coaching, and allow the client to embark on a journey of self discovery.
Many “coaches” take training courses that teach management training crossed with business skills and life training and what you get is someone who manipulates you to do things their way and tells you that they’re pushing you beyond your comfort zone.
My focus on executive coaching allows me to provide corporate training for sales and marketing executives and coaching programs for entrepreneurs that will clear the blockages and provide a new experience of freedom and unique leadership training - your obstacles shrink and your goals get accomplished.

Affirmations have recently hit a new popularity in the personal development space. Those who are new age conscious and into spiritual self help often swear by it. In fact, alongside meditation and visualisation, affirmations are some of the more popular motivational tools to inspire positive thinking, prosperity and success thinking.

Affirmations - Fact Or Crap?
There are affirmations for healing, forgiveness, spirituality and even enlightenment - but can they really change your life?
While I’m a bigger fan of techniques like hypnosis, NLP, Time Line TherapyTM and Create Your FutureTM - I’m not going to dismiss the use of the simple positive affirmation. If done the right way, they can harness your mind power and help you focus on what you want.
In fact, Sculptor3 is a brilliant piece of software that makes use of visualizations, affirmations and the alpha sound waves to help give your mind positively powerful focus. I believe that it uses anchoring from NLP level as well to help trigger the affirmation when you observe common objects like a watch or a glass of water. Of all the affirmation work out there, Sculptor3 takes the best aspects of them all and puts them in one place. A little simple looking, but very effective.
Try This: Download Sculptor3 and use it for the next 12 days - and you will be amazed at the results!

Without a doubt, Anthony Robbins is one of the best when it comes to NLP. I was listening to a case study where he was talking about a group of people diagnosed with clinical depression, and the scientist made the participants stand in a line, puff up their chests, stand straight and smile the biggest smile they could for 20 minutes. Apparently, 80% of the people who did this for 30 days were diagnosed to have no signs of clinical depression. Smiles are catchy, there’s no doubt, but this is powerful psychology! This is because the brain doesn’t differentiate between what’s real, and what’s imagined, only by what is perceived.

Smile...or else!
In NLP terms, we talk about the Physiology and Psychology of Excellence, and this case study is proof of its power. Pop psychology books and many a life coach will often talk about “dressing for success” - and they don’t mean just the clothes you wear. It’s about looking the part and being the part, creating the feeling of already having what you want, and it will come to you. If you’ve been to seminars or training sessions where you have to get up and dance and look like a fool - it’s the same concept. Tony Robbins says it best in that “Motion Leads to Emotion”.
Try This: Download my brain trainer podcast on “The Physiology and Psychology of Success” and follow the exercises. This is very powerful brain training as well, and if you’re in sales and marketing or an entrepreneur then this will be valuable next time you’re having a low.

Lots of people don’t know that anxiety is related to their fears. In our branch of NLP, fear is something which is caused by a past event. So a simple definition is that anxiety is a fear of the future. Anxiety can lead to OCD, different forms of panic and panic attacks and a lot of stress. In some people it can lead to depression. Anxiety and depression are common issues in mental health - but that doesn’t make it acceptable.

"If Only I'd Done Time Line Therapy™"
Can hypnosis or another therapy help them?
Yes.
Time Line TherapyTM is a brilliant intervention for anxiety. It’s not psychotherapy, it just helps with anxiety and relaxation in a semi hypnotic way.
A month ago I did some Time Line TherapyTM with a friend of mine who had a lot of anxiety, and it was messing up things with his friends and family - it took about 5 minutes to get overcome his “anxiety disorder” as he called it. Just to be sure, I used Time Line TherapyTM to help him deal with the fear which he had - and that took less than 10 minutes. A month later, he’s still raving about the results, even his wife told me that she was blown away by the results!
It works well if you want to stop smoking, or have a fear of flying or are afraid of public speaking. I’ve even done this for people who’ve had phobias like agoraphobia (fear of open spaces) - the results are mindblowing!

A successful entrepreneur knows first and foremost that marketing is king, and the best form of marketing is to survey your customers. No matter what you are selling, your product needs to be market tested first.
What’s the best form of market testing? Simply asking your customer. If you’re into internet marketing or you have your business online, you have it easiest - conduct an e-mail survey or have a survey on your webpage.

Customers - The Most Useful Form Of Feedback In The Market
Offline, you can run a promotion or make use of advertising to survey your customers.
Also, give something in exchange for your customers providing you with valuable feedback. It is not only good PR, but this is a good promotion for your brand.
More than branding or marketing advertising, you’re actually finding out what people want. Then, just give the customer what they want.
That’s when sales just walk through your door.
Try This: Ask the top 20% of your best customers what they like about your product or service, and what they don’t like. Eliminate the things that people don’t want and start providing more of what they like - and watch your income grow!
If you’re starting out in business ask your target market what it is that they want the most in the product or service you are looking to promote, and give them more of what they want and less of what they don’t.
I also recommend my special report: “7 Secrets To Becoming A Marketing Magnet” - this report is the result of 4 months of research and has some of the best information that I can offer you in terms of marketing.
Getting things done has always been a major challenge for entrepreneurs and small business owners. There is always a lot of work to do, and time management seems to be an elusive concept. Productivity software ends up unused, personal organizers become paper weights, and your wall planner turns into a dart board.
There will always be things to do, but here are my most practical tips for having a productive day, every day:
- Screen your calls and return the lower-priority calls at a later time.
- Reading and replying to emails all day long is a major time stealer. Choose two or three times during the day to check your mail.
- Keep a to do list of things to accomplish for the day and stick to it.
- Take time for breaks in order to keep your energy level up.
- If you work from home establish boundaries. Don’t let friends and family distract you from your work - they are well intentioned but you need to focus.
- Hire a virtual concierge who can help you share the work load.

Highly Recommended - www.VirtualPersonnelSolutions.com
The last point is the most important one. Rather than being the organizer, be organized. A virtual concierge can help you be organized, so that you can focus on the strategic role of leading, selling, marketing and creating - the real work of an entrepreneur.
Try This: Hire a virtual concierge (also called a virtual assistant) to manage the mundane tasks that take you away from generating revenue. I highly recommend that you try Virtual Personnel Solutions to take on a virtual concierge that is best suited to you and your needs from as little as $5 an hour!

The corporate world has it wrong! According to a study done last month, companies that have an open plan system are actually causing staff to be less productive!
When chairs are hitting against each other, your desk is no bigger than a lunchbox, and the total lack of privacy - it’s no surprise that staff performance is going low. A manager doesn’t realise the cost in terms of productivity of open office planning.

Open Plan Offices - Costlier In The Long Term?
A small business or a home office understands the need for space and privacy to maximise productivity. It shouldn’t be hard for the management of global companies and big players in the industry to see that he open plan office is not a good strategy.
Good news: productivity and skills need not be diminshed - the situation can be solved in 4 steps:
- Start with technology: templatising systems, and automating the business software is a must.
- Reposition the staff around the perimeter of the room to optimise floor space.
- A gap of at least 1 metre between each desk will provide sufficient personal space.
- Screens between the desks will provide the perception of privacy and noise control.
And the cost? I know that the increase in productivity and decrease in sick leave will recover the cost in no time!

Traditional sales jobs, sales training and sales books out there focus on “closing” the prospect and making the sale.
One of the best sales training programs I can see out there is not based upon selling and closing, but rather takes a very different approach.
Unlock The Game is a new mindset that allows you to sell, without selling yourself out. The mindset takes a “no pressure” approach to selling, in fact it looks to diffuse pressure at every possible turn. See, a customer wants to “buy” not be “sold to” - and Unlock The Game does a fantastic job of giving the customer choice.
There are wonders that Unlock The Game will do for your business. This whole buying selling job is no longer about buying and selling. It’s about building a relationship based on open and honest communication - a principle almost as extinct as customer service!

Sell Without Selling Your Soul
I took it on and the changes were instant and visible. One client remarked “We can see that you’re here to help us, not sell to us!” Definitely a great marketing point!
Any industry can use this mindset - retail, advertising, car sales etc.
Try This: If you go to the Unlock The Game website, you can demo a free trial of the membership site.
When you use Unlock The Game with the 5 Step Sales Process that I teach, you will become a powerful sales person that your customers will earn the respect, trust and repeat business of your customers - and you will be able to sleep at night too!
